How to Eat Like a Local in London

Forget fish and chips.

As most of you know, I have a lot of immediate family that lives in London. I’m very grateful to be able to visit them on a regular basis, and each time I am usually taken to eat at one of the local favorite restaurants. Here are some of my favorite places I’ve been, and a few I haven’t been to, but come very highly recommended by my British family.

Byron Burgers: I’ve been here twice and can personally vouch for their superb burgers. Also, cheesy bacon fries.

Wagamamas: Pad Thai, ramen, rice. Wagamamas is sure to cure your Asian craving. I’ve been here three times and every time was excellent. (Also, be sure to try a juice. Totally worth it).

Pizza Express: Went here with my dad on my first visit to London. Compareable to Pizza Hut, but much better quality and a nicer dining experience.

Nandos: Chicken legs, chicken wings, chicken sandwiches. But also lots of veggi options if chicken isn’t your thing!

Yo Sushi: The name is self explanatory. You can even take a class to learn how to make sushi for yourself!

Itsu: Asian inspired food in a fast food style restaurant.

GBK: Burgers, fries, milkshakes.

Cafe Rouge: Get a taste of France in this Parisienne style cafe. Also, get an authentic English breakfast. The best of both worlds.
